Phra Somdej Wat Rakang
Large Mold King of Amulets Phra Somdej Wat Rakang, king of amulets, the person responsible for consecrating this most excellence amulets is a senior monk of Rattanakosin, the owner of Chinabachorn katha, and that is His Excellency Somdej Phra Puttachan (Toh Phromrangsi) of Wat Rakang. He had consecrated the amulets since BE 2410 till his demise in BE 2415. Phra Somdej Wat Rakang were consecrated with powder mixed with five items, including blessed powder (patamung/ittijie/trinisinghe", cooked rice, soft prepared chalk, banana and pollens from flowers. There are five types of Phra Somdej Wat Rakang amulets which are universally sought after, namely, the large mold, phra jadee mold, the tan saem mold, the prok poh mold and the ketbuatom mold.
