Default Help to ID possible Phra Pidta Buddha

I am not sure what to think about this piece. I believe it may be a Phra Pidta Buddha ( amulet ? ). Although I suppose not impossible, it seems a little odd that anyone would place an object on a buddha figure of what appears to be an incense holder/burner.

The brass seems to show some good age and natural wear from being handled a lot.

It is 3 1/2" tall

It looks similar to pieces within this book ( link below ).

I would also appreciate very much if someone can translate for me what the description reads on the two pages ( link above ) from within the book.

Any help greatly appreciated
