This thread is a bit old i know...i am replying to this post to address bro jackshen's request of translation...the words at the bottom of the article read as follows...

Phra Phim Somdej Cho Pho Ror (Lang Chan) LP Opasi Nua Phong Thoup(incense powder) Kruap (lacquer finish)

A member ask about the meaning of the yant at the back...it is a three thai character intial of the royal name of King Rama V (King Chulalongkorn)จ.(Cho)ป.(Pho)ร.(Ror)

The article is about the biography of LP Opasi...although nothing is mentioned about real or fake piece...logic tells me that a real piece would highly be shown rather than a fake one.
